What are the package inclusions?

The package will include accommodation, food, and activities.

As per the package booked, Early morning Coffee/ Tea.
Activities

  • Carrom, chess, ludo, table tennis, cricket, and badminton.
  • The campfire is private for each family or group, on a chargeable basis.
  • We can arrange a trek for a minimum group size of 6 and above with a charge of Rs. 1500 for escorting only.

What amenities are in the rooms?

  • TV, Wi-Fi, Kettle,
  • Premium and Villa rooms come with a balcony
  • The cottage is approximately 750 sq. ft. with a patio and a backyard.

A Villa Room has:

  • King size beds, 2 water bottles, coffee table with chairs, fan, wardrobe, tissue papers, side tables, duvet, pillow, blackout curtains, patio furniture.

The bathroom has:

  • Shampoo, body wash, bath towels

Common amenities:

  • Dental kit, Wi-Fi, kettle, bottled water, TV.

Do you have a swimming pool?

No, we do not have a pool yet.

What is the menu for breakfast?

The menu will be on a rotational basis. We have a good limited spread which includes:

  • Cut fruit
  • Juice
  • Akki Roti/Dosa/Puri Bajji/Idli
  • Samber/Chutney
  • Rice preparation
  • Coffee/Tea.

What is the menu for Lunch/Dinner?

The menu will be on a rotational basis.

Can we book the whole property for a private party?

Yes, we can accommodate up to 25 adults.

What is the maximum occupancy of the Villa?

Our Villa can accommodate up to 10 people.

Explain more about the property?

It is a 21-acre property with 7 rooms, including a villa. A scenic view of the coffee estate/mountain from the property. There is a limited mobile network in the property. Mobile and Wi-Fi are available

What about the bonfire?

It is part of the package for a group of 15+. Also, the bonfire will be arranged separately for you on a chargeable basis.

What can I do for a 3-day, 2-night stay at Bhuthanakadu?

Day 1: Bangalore to Chikmagaluru via Belur

  • Morning: Depart early from Bangalore.
  • En route: Stop at Belur and visit the famous Chennakesava Temple, a stunning example of Hoysala architecture.
  • Afternoon: Continue journey to Bhuthanakadu Retreat.
  • Check-in: Arrive at the retreat, freshen up, and settle down.
  • Evening: Prepare for a traditional coffee plantation walk (please carry your own boots). Learn about coffee cultivation and stroll through the estates.
  • Night: Return to your room, unwind, and savour a home-style dinner, enjoying the breezes from the coffee estate.

Day 2: Explore Hidden Gems

  • Early Morning: Sip fresh Chikmagalur coffee and take in the peaceful surroundings.
  • Breakfast: Enjoy local cuisine prepared at the retreat.
  • Mid-morning: Head out to Devaramane and Ettina Bhuja—less-touristic, pristine destinations in Chikmagaluru, ideal for nature lovers and trekking enthusiasts.
  • Lunch: En route to local lunch.
  • Afternoon: Return to the retreat for some relaxation.
  • Evening: Close the day with a bonfire and music to enhance your stay and enjoy the cool mountain air (bonfire on a chargeable basis).

Day 3: Classic Chikmagaluru & Departure

  • Morning: Post-breakfast check-out.
  • Sightseeing: Visit popular spots. Mullayanagiri (the highest peak in Karnataka), the Coffee Museum, and local markets for shopping.
  • Departure: Carry wonderful memories back as you make your way home.

  • Carry sturdy boots for the plantation walk and light trekking.

Is music available in the property?

Yes, but there is a up to 10 PM only timing limitation on the DJ.

Drive time from Bangalore by car?

In normal driving conditions, it takes up to 5 hrs to reach the property.

Do you provide pick-up and drop services to Chikmagalur bus stand/railway station?

Yes, we can arrange the same at additional charges.

23 km, 30 minutes.

26 km, 30 minutes.

Do buses operate from Bangalore to Chikamagaluru?

Yes, there are many buses operated by the government and private operators.
